European Travel
My name is Ron Kloth. I’m originally from California and am in my third decade of travelling to Europe. I love it here so much I moved here to Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany in 2018.
While I lived in the States in the early 2000’s I began leading small group tours to Europe, primarily to explore the beer culture here as I was in the beer business and owned a brewing company in Arizona. Because of this I am intimately familiar with Belgium, Germany, Czech and the U.K.
I still love beer and many of my stories here will involve destinations that involve their local beer or beer festivals.
Don’t worry, not all my stories will involve beer. I also love history and the outdoors, both of which Europe has plenty of. I am an avid skier and curler probably due to my Canadian Mothers roots and have criss-crossed the Alps numerous times because of these two sports.
Before Covid struck down travel I was making regular monthly travel jaunts to places all over Europe which I hope to be able to continue next year once the vaccines are out and travel can safely resume.
European Travel Blog is designed to inform, educate and entertain you.

I am not a 20 something professional travel blogger traveling to hundreds of different countries. I am an American who in 2018 decided to fulfill a lifelong dream of living in Europe and choose beautiful Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Southern Germany at the base of the alps to live.
One of the reasons I chose to live in Garmisch-Partenkirchen is that it is a great place to have as a base to explore Europe from. Garmisch is located in a place where it is easy to travel by car, rail or air easily to all parts of Europe from.
